Bio: Hannah specializes in the 800 meters. She completed her collegiate career at Virginia Tech, highlighted by Second-Team All-America honors in the distance medley relay at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships. She also helped the Hokies win the 2022 ACC indoor DMR title in a meet- and facility-record 10:53.75. Individually, Hannah finished 6th in the 800m at the 2023 ACC Indoor Championships and qualified for the 2022 NCAA East Preliminary Round. Since joining coach Laurie Henes’ training group at NC State in 2024, Hannah has achieved PBs across multiple distances and improved her 800m PB from 2:04.97 to 2:00.56. Balancing elite training with her doctoral studies, she continues to establish herself as an emerging contender in U.S. middle-distance running.
Hannah is a PhD student studying Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs) and medical communication in the Communication, Rhetoric, and Digital Media program at NC State University. Her dissertation research focuses on creating and validating a dedicated screening tool and intake form for REDs. In addition to her PhD research, Hannah is an instructor of technical communication, science communication, and medical rhetoric at NC State, works as a communications assistant for NC State's Climate and Sustainability Academy, and is a consultant and technical communicator for the Women’s Health, Sports, and Performance Institute in Boston.
